Dulce de Coconut for New Orleans Musician's Clinic
We've got a great double headliner for February! This month, we are supporting New Orleans Musicians' Clinic with the Dulce de Coconut latte!
Not only does NOMC provide mental health and medical resources to the musicians of New Orleans, but they also run programs like Makin' Groceries, launched in 2020, which provides nutritious groceries and prepared meals as weekly home deliveries to the local community.
Dulce de Coconut Latte:
Inspired by alfajores cookies, the Dulce de Coconut Latte is sure to delight during this Carnival Season! A house-made coconut milk dulce de leche is stirred into your espresso with a zip of lemon before topping with the milk of your choice. When topped with a milk alternative, this drink is entirely vegan! Drink it hot or cold (just like the February weather in New Orleans).
More on the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic:
Dedicated on May 2, 1998, the New Orleans Musicians’ Clinic (NOMC) became the first such medical initiative in the United States, addressing the health care needs of musicians and artists, as well as their families, whether they are insured, underinsured or uninsured.
The New Orleans Musicians’ Assistance Foundation (NOMAF) emerged in 2007, following the need to expand the NOMC’s definition of health care after the devastating floods of Hurricane Katrina. As a response to the needs of NOMC patients and the local music community, NOMAF was founded as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization to provide the administrative and fundraising services needed to support the primary medical care provided by the NOMC.
